Ivaan was very interested in symbolic jewellery, but he deplored the fact that so much of it is poorly designed and mass produced - mostly just stamped out of sheet metal.  Ivaan's symbolic pendant jewellery includes crosses, tridents and Stars of David. They are always three dimensional.  He made them look just as beautiful on the reverse side as they are on the front.  Some are even reversible.

The trident, or tryzub, is the national symbol of Ukraine.  It's the equivalent of Canada's Maple Leaf, except that patriotic people of Ukrainian heritage actually wear the tryzub with pride.

Ivaan also made tryzub rings, and even a pair of tryzub earrings.   Many of his pieces are named after someone special.   If you read below, you'll learn how many of these pieces aquired their names.
