Danny and Madeleine

Danny and Ivaan met as neighbours and resident bon vivants on Yonge Street in the early 1970s. Fellow artists - Daniel P. Izzard is a painter of international renown - they have remained close friends ever since.   Danny introduced us to Madeleine in the mid-1990s and we knew she was a “keeper” right away.  One Christmas Eve, we were at a party with them.  Danny stood up with a glass of wine to propose a toast…and ended up proposing to Madeleine instead.   In vino veritas.   - Eya
