Bernie & Mimi

Bernie has never worn a ring except for his wedding ring.  Even when I told him his wedding ring was far too tight and that  I would enlarge it for him, he wouldn't take it off.  He and Mimi have been married for 30 years and it didn't look like it was going anywhere.   So I told Bernie he would have to choose a ring from Ivaan.  He looked at them all - all the ones that were too big, all the ones that were too small, and suddenly he picked up this ring.   It was his Three Bears moment:  it was just right.  It's about as far from his plain gold wedding band as it's possible to get, and yet it suits him incredibly well.  That's probably why he and Ivaan were good friends: because a ring like this makes perfect sense to them.
