Bernie & Mimi

Our friends Bernie and Mimi drove up recently from New York City for a visit.  It was so much fun having them in Toronto; the only thing that could have made it better was if Ivaan had been here to welcome them, too.   So Ivaan did the next best thing: he asked them each to choose a piece of jewellery as a gift from him.  This was Mimi's ring.  It fit her perfectly, looked excellent with the other rings she wears, and it was as though it leaped right out of the showcase and onto her finger and found itself perfectly at home.  Ivaan would have been thrilled by her choice.
